Crossover 3-Way lets you split a single mono or stereo signal into two complementary frequencies bands. Each band is derived from the original signal by a complementary pair of Linkwitz-Riley lowpass/highpass filters that the slopes of which are adjustable between 12 dB/oct and 96 dB/oct. The overall effect is similar to the Complementary EQ.
Similar to the Complementary EQ, each Band can be further split by a second lowpass/highpass pair to create 3-Band split, where each Band can be further split into two complementary frequency bands.
The program has two pairs of pushbuttons for parameters mapping: The first pair is labeled as “Crossover” and the second pair as “Add” and the following examples describe what to do with the two pushbuttons. The middle two lines on the left are for the 2-Band crossover, that is what we use most of the time.

The first pair of pushbuttons affects the lowband and the second pair of pushbuttons affects the highband.
In general, we prefer to use the original signal’s upper frequency limit as the high band cutoff frequency, so for example a strong bass signal will be split into an even more powerful upper-midrange and upper-treble band split.
2 Band Crossover
This mode contains two pairs of pushbuttons, one labeled “Crossover” and the other “Add”. With the Crossover button, you can select between 12 dB/oct and 96 dB/oct. With the Add button, you can either raise or lower the overall crossovers slope by 12 dB/oct. The slope of the band split can be adjusted by up to 96 dB/oct.
The lowband is the same as in the “Crossover” mode, except that a 2nd lowpass/highpass pair is added. If you use the default setting for the lowband, the upper and lower cut-off frequency is the same. The high band is the lower cut-off frequency eea19f52d2
